Jacqueline Watt is an established Scottish painter who exhibits both nationally and internationally, with work in various public, corporate and private collections. Her mixed media paintings are strong, expressive and colourful, and have principally been inspired by landscape and its elemental forces, combined with an innovative use of colour.
Based in Edinburgh, Jacqueline is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art and she has had an extensive and successful teaching career. This has included: visiting lecturer for the Sir John Soanes Summer School in London; senior lecturer at Leith School of Art, Edinburgh; Scottish Organiser for the Open College of Art; as well as running various inspirational art workshops and tutorials.
Jacqueline is a multi-award winning artist and an elected professional member of Visual Art Scotland and the Paisley Art Institute. In 2011 she was awarded the prestigious Charles Rennie Mackintosh Residency in Collioure, South of France, which gave her the opportunity to explore and develop new directions and subject matter in her work.
