David Holmes

The most recent work that David has been involved in has been a departure from the larger, figurative pieces he is usually recognised for.  This new mode of making pictures has used collaged fragments to create these images and has centred around the idea of capturing the moment when a landscape reveals it’s solitude. The works are intended as intimate glimpses into rural Scotland, whether it be in the border hills or the coast of the western highlands.
David has exhibited work throughout Britain and  internationally since studying fine art in the late 1970’s.
