Tina is heavily influenced by the elemental nature of her surroundings, and the intrinsic connections between the seasons and the land. The essence of her work is the abstraction of this connection . The colour, the texture, the feeling of just being a small part of natures vastness and beauty are part of her work.
Working in subtle layers of colour often with coloured pencil, metal leaf or pastel as well as acrylic paint, compositions show hidden complexity. It is this complexity creating simplicity that, for her, illustrates the beauty of nature and its affect on the land and what she sees as an artist.
